My husband mounted my new stamp holder on the wall and I organized my $1 wood mounted stamps last night (from J's, Big Lots, and Michael's mostly). Here is what it looks like now:

Other Garage Sale Finds!
I found a few other things for my scraproom the last 2 weekends at garage sales!
The first item was a Pampered Chef Carousel for $3.
The second item was this storage container/holder for $1.
The last item was just a lazy susan to put my adhesive bag on which will allow easy access to all it's sides (and my gem container underneath with my xyron sticker maker).
What have you found lately?

Rubber Stamp Holder!
This past weekend I went to my sister's house for the annual South Jeff Bargain Days in Adams, NY! I love a good garage sale -- so there is NOTHING better than a town-wide garage sale weekend! My best find of the weekend was my $1.00 'matchbox holder' I found! I immediately knew I wanted it for my wood mounted rubber stamps!
What did you find this past weekend?
*** Crazy small world moment: I posted the picture on facebook to show my friends my great 'deal'. One of my old college friends wrote asking where I bought it since her brother-in-law had one and was having a sale in the same area. Yup, that's right..... I bought a friend's BIL's old matchbox holder! Now that's my small world moment for the year!

Just giving a heads up that the Luau, Graduation, and Father's Day Cricut Solution Cartridges are $12.49 right now at ACM! They were marked $18.74 at my local store but scanned the new clearance price! (I only wanted 2 of them though,) I definitely recommend stopping by your local one and checking!

My 6th Grade Graduate!
Here's a 2 page layout I did last night. It's of my daughter's sixth grade graduation day. Although her school colors are blue and gold, I opted to have the page match her dress (something she seldom wears these days!). Oh where did my little girl go....... I hope I'm ready for her to be a middle school student!

Another Repurpose Idea.....
Anyone that knows me knows I love going to Garage Sales (that's what they call them usually in Vermont). I love to scout out things for my craft room along with items for my girls. Last Saturday I found this really cool 'Sewing Basket' (that's what it was labeled on the tag) for $2.00.
Anyway, I bought it without any thought of what I would put inside. After looking around my craft area, I decided it was the perfect place for some of my glitters and chalks (I'm fairly new at the whole glitter and chalking world as you can see from the photo?!). Here is what it looks like now that it is filled.....

DCWV Layout Challenge
As you all can tell, I needed a little push to get my scrapbook mojo going (and to update my blog)! This challenge seemed like the perfect one to attempt since I'm a 2-page layout type of gal! I decided to use the Green Stack from DCWV that has been calling me since I purchased it along with my daughter's Casella Waste Mgmt. contest win photos! This day was quite special for my daughter since she is the youngest and tends to think all the good things happen for her sister (which isn't true, but when you are 9 and your sister is 12.... it just seems that way!). Anyway..... in December my daughter will be receiving (10) 2012 calendars with her picture as one of the 13 (12 months and 1 cover picture). Congratulations again to my sweet daughter, Michalyn!
Thanks for looking! (In the photo is one of the Casella Family members, too! I thought it was nice they sent an actual family member to give the award!)

Girl Scout Craft -- Duct Tape Bag
Did you know that AC Moore sells some VERY cool duct tapes? Our ACM just opened a couple weeks ago and I've already fallen in love with the store! Since the store had duct tape on sale last week for 2/$7.00 (and everything I do I am budget conscious in GS), I decided to make our next craft project (for fashion!) using duct tape! After doing some research online and finding the Duck Brand website, I decided that a bag was the perfect craft for my troop! Here is the sample I made!

My STAR!
I'm so behind with my scrapbook efforts! One day I promise to be completely caught up! Until then -- Here is a page that I just did last night of my oldest daughter's 2008 Spring chorus concert (I jump around a lot when I scrapbook!). She was my little star that evening!

Like Santa
Christmas parties are really a lot of fun -- especially when the teacher loads the afternoon with games and food! My youngest daughter's class played a game to see who could stick the most cotton balls to their faces in one minute. They first loaded their faces with Vaseline and then for one minute bobbed in a plate of cotton. It was HYSTERICAL to watch -- especially when the teacher started the activity! Here is the page I created around that afternoon game of fun.

Happy Trails!
After trying to figure out how to do this layout with one 5x7" picture, I finally came across a neat layout on the cricut message board (thanks to that person for the inspiration!)! I thought it worked well for my layout of the sign we saw as we entered into Cape Cod! I can't wait to go back again!

Are we there yet?
While sitting and watching the Super Bowl tonight, I decided to sit and work on another layout for my daughter's soccer tournament album. This one actually is a result of hearing "Are we there yet?" about 101 million times on the way between Vermont and Cape Cod during our trek down. Anyway..... here is my tribute to my daughters who asked this every 30 minutes or so on this trip!

Lettering and cut-outs: Going Places

HITTIN' SMUGGS!
Who doesn't love a good water park?! My youngest daughter's class took a trip to Smugg's Water Park last June and it was a BLAST! My youngest had the time of her life and she especially enjoyed the large water slide! I think she rode that thing a MILLION times from 10 am - 2 pm that day! Here is the layout of her day!

Lettering: Makin' The Grade
Beach items & Water Park wording: H20

One Big Stop!
Another one of our stops on the way to the Cape last year was to the Ikea in Stoughton, Massachusetts. There is only one word to describe this place --- BIG! I was shocked when we pulled into the parking lot and saw the massive building ahead of me. I was in HEAVEN...... We only spent a little time searching for the bi-gel rods I wanted but I managed to find other goodies in the short time I was there! If only we had one of these stores near my house!

Last year my oldest daughter's soccer team traveled to the Cape to participate in a HUGE soccer tournament.....and guess where we had to stop on the way down?! TARGET (or Tar-jayyyyyy)! Yes..... sadly we get excited to visit a Target now and again since we don't have them in our state. Anyway, here is the page I made for her soccer scrapbook of that trip to our favorite hot spot! I can't wait to head down again this year!

LID CHALLENGE: Mid January on the Cricut Board
I know..... I'm late on finishing my LID challenge for the middle of January?!!!! My excuse.... I had to wait for my ink cartridges to arrive so I could print the pictures the size I needed! I decided to use this layout for one of my daughter's band concerts. I hope you like it!

Takes the Cake!
Back in November 2009 my daughters attended an American Girl Doll Tea Party at our local library. It was an afternoon filled with historic games, crafts, and food! At the end of the event, the head librarian raffled off this beautiful AG theme cake..... and guess who won?! That's right.... my youngest daughter won the cake! She was thrilled to be the 'lucky one' on this afternoon! Here is the page I made about her winning day. I still need to add a journal tag... and maybe a couple other little embellishments.
