I haven't been much of a cardmaker recently!  Here is the start of cardmaking 2010!

Tootsie Cupcakes!

How many of you are wondering what to do with the cupcake holders on your cricut carts?  Here is a simple idea that only requires the following materials:

*  12x12 piece of scrapbook paper
*  Pair of fuzzy (also called spa) socks
*  Red pom-pom or fake cherry

For mine I cut out the cupcake holder that is on the Easter 2010 (cut 4 1/4").  Once cut and assembled, I rolled one pair of fuzzy socks in a mound appearance.  Tuck the sock inside the cupcake holder.  Finish it off with a cute little cherry!

Wouldn't these make cute party favors?  Try making one yourself and see how easy this craft can be!

HELLO THURSDAY! LOOK AT THE NEW CARTRIDGES FROM CRICUT!

Another Storage Idea -- EUREKA moment!

About a month ago I was shopping with my good friend at Kmart and came across some $3.00 snapware ornament containers.  Without hesitation, I loaded one of these nifty containers into my cart without any thoughts on what to do with it.  I initially thought I might use it to store scrapbook paper (it's slightly larger than 12x12).  Today I had a EUREKA moment!  I decided to put all my glitters, stickles, stamp pads, chalks, etc into this one container -- MY SNAPWARE BOX!  I don't know if I'll keep this system but I do like that everything is in one central location.  Does anyone else have items they have used in a different way in their scrap zone?

Piglet is complete!

Here is my daughter's completed pig from Girl Scouts (minus the slit for the money).  Can you guess her favorite color????   If you guessed PURPLE -- YOU ARE CORRECT!  My daughter loves everything purple (along with everything Scooby Doo!).

A Girl Scout Craft - Piggy Bank

Since I'm on a roll - I thought I would share the first step in my daughter's Piggy Bank that we are making with her Girl Scout troop (I co-lead the troop).  The pig is made with the following supplies:

*  Egg Carton
*  2 lt soda bottle
*  Newspaper
*  Paste made w/ equal parts of flour and water

If anyone wants the complete set of instructions for this craft, please check out the Martha Stewart website.  She has some GREAT ideas!

Cutie Pie Girl!

I'm feverishly trying to catch up with my youngest daughter's scrapbooks!  This was another page I've done recently that I haven't posted on my blog.  The book on the second page was made by her preschool teacher.  The teacher had each child sign their name next to their class picture!  I still think it's such a great little remembrance of her year!

My new love -- INKING PAPER EDGES!

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I am blogging about my newest love --- INKING PAPER EDGES!!!  Last week I went into our Creative Habitat store and purchased some new ink pads ($1.00 each on sale!) just so I could attempt the simple task of inking paper! I constantly see how people use this technique to add dimension to their pages.  I must admit after one layout of it -- I'm hooked!  I may even embellish this page with more hearts (it still feels incomplete to me)!  Anyway..... I wanted to share my new scrapbook love!

Enjoy and happy inking!
