Girl Scout Craft -- Duct Tape Bag

Did you know that AC Moore sells some VERY cool duct tapes?  Our ACM just opened a couple weeks ago and I've already fallen in love with the store!  Since the store had duct tape on sale last week for 2/$7.00 (and everything I do I am budget conscious in GS), I decided to make our next craft project (for fashion!) using duct tape!  After doing some research online and finding the Duck Brand website, I decided that a bag was the perfect craft for my troop!  Here is the sample I made!

What do you think of this craft?  I know my daughters are very excited to make one of their own at our next meeting!

RECYCLED JEWEL CASE PICTURE FRAME

I thought I'd share one quick Girl Scout craft that I think could be adapted into quite a cool scrapbook-style project!  This is a jewel case picture frame!  It uses 1 slim case, some ribbon, and any other embellishments you wish to add!  I made mine simple since I had to gear this project to Brownies (2nd-3rd graders)!  Just use your imagination on this one!  The sky is the limit!

Piglet is complete!

Here is my daughter's completed pig from Girl Scouts (minus the slit for the money).  Can you guess her favorite color????   If you guessed PURPLE -- YOU ARE CORRECT!  My daughter loves everything purple (along with everything Scooby Doo!).

Since I'm on a roll - I thought I would share the first step in my daughter's Piggy Bank that we are making with her Girl Scout troop (I co-lead the troop).  The pig is made with the following supplies:

*  Egg Carton
*  2 lt soda bottle
*  Newspaper
*  Paste made w/ equal parts of flour and water

If anyone wants the complete set of instructions for this craft, please check out the Martha Stewart website.  She has some GREAT ideas!

Bouquets, Bookmarks, and more!

These were some bookmarks I made for my Girl Scouts for Bridging. I think they came out pretty good for a new Cricut owner!

This is the sign I made to try and recruit new leaders to Girl Scouts. I wish I knew about using a laser level when I did the word 'Become' in the middle of the sign.

These were 2 of the teacher bouquets I made last Spring. I used buckets from The Christmas Tree Shop (love that store)!
